To live with social anxiety is to live with the constant dread that you’ve done something wrong; that you’ve said the wrong thing, weren’t enough or were too much.

For me, it’s also the feeling of conditional love—the fear that one wrong move could cost me an entire relationship I’ve worked hard to build at any given moment. It’s kind of like the movie, A Quiet Place, only instead of blind extraterrestrial monsters lurking…
